A carefully restored gem near Hotel Koldingfjord

In September 2009, the restoration of the 100-year old chief physician's residence, Louisehøj near Hotel Koldingfjord was finished. The beautiful, old villa with a stunning view over the fjord is today furnished with, among other things, an entirely new type of meeting facility and with Louisehøj, Holding Koldingfjord now has a gem that is rarely found other places in Denmark.

Hotel Koldingfjord was built in 1911 as Denmark's first Christmas seal sanatorium, but already in 1909, the chief physician's residence, Louisehøj, was completed. Through its 100-year history, the elegant villa has led a somewhat turbulent life, and in September 2009, Hotel Koldingfjord was ready to open the house for exclusive events after it has been through careful restoration from the cellar to the attic.

- We have felt an obligation to look after the beautiful house and at the same time we realised that the house gave us the opportunity to offer exclusive events and meetings where you can work completely undisturbed in private settings and with your own entrance and garden. Here, you can be completely secluded, also if confidentiality and discretion are important parameters, says Managing Director, Peder J. Madsen, Hotel Koldingfjord.

- Thus, we have invested in the best, regarding meeting facilities and house decoration and furnishing. Naturally, there is a top modern kitchen, so the guests at Louisehøj can also enjoy lunch or dinner here.

When renting Louisehøj, own waiters and chefs are part of the package.
